EPISODE 63 (Not edited) 

It was the evening of Sarah's birthday, She had gotten to the lodge after a lovely day at work. Her colleagues had celebrated her in a little way.

She walked back to the lodge happily, and on getting to the lodge, she didn't see anyone outside which was unusual. She went in and saw that the sitting room was dark but every other house on the street had light, which had never happened.

"Is anyone home?" She asked, no response.
"Tola! Kenny! Chichi! Winifred!" She shouted, no response.
She went to the male apartment, it was equally dark,
"Sam! Joseph! Peter! Omoh! Richard!" She screamed again. She went back to the female apartment.

"What's happening? Everyone should be home by now, where have they gone to? Or has rapture taken place?" She asked. 
Then she heard someone chuckled,
"Who's there?" She asked, no response. She suddenly became scared. 

She located the power switch of the sitting room and put it on, then she saw every other corper in the sitting room and they all chorused, 
"Happy Birthday!" And they clapped, as the guys and ladies put on suits and dinner gowns respectively, with the room beautifully arranged with a cake and drinks in the middle.

Sarah was speechless, 
"Wow!" She said when she found her voice, "You people want to give me high blood pressure,"
"Thank you," She said finally.

Tola held her and dragged her into the room,
"Go and shower then come on change your clothes," Tola said while Sarah's eyes caught a new cloth on the bed she took it and checked it,

"This is beautiful," She smiled

"That's your birthday cloth," Tola said 

"Gown! Why?" Sarah asked

"Sam wants you to wear that. He's the mastermind behind all this," Tola smiled. 

"Hmmm...I know, this is the fourth birthday, I will be celebrating and Sam has always been the one planning them," Sarah smiled       
                                   
"Awwwn! That's so sweet of him" Tola smiled.                                

"But Sam knows I don't wear gown now" Sarah answered.   
                                                                            
"He wants you to dress like Sarah today," Tola said 

"And how have I been dressing?" Sarah asked.          

 "Like Abraham," 

"You are not serious,"

"Sarah, everyone is waiting for us, go and take your bath," Tola came again. 

Then Sarah saw the new heels beside the bed, "Heels? Who will wear this?" Sarah asked with her eyes open.

"You of course, who else? " Tola answered.

"Have you ever seen me in heels before?'

"There's always a first time "

"No way! I can't walk in them "

"You aren't going out, it's in the sitting room" Tola answered "That your tomboy dressing will not work this night, it's your birthday,"

"Oh God!" Sarah said hitting her leg on the ground.

"Go in and bath," Tola pushed her into the bathroom.

She finished dressing and they both went back to the sitting room. Everyone was surprised to see a new version of  Sarah, she looked different in the gown, heels and slight make-up.

"Sarah, you are beautiful "Winifred commented.

"Thank you " Sarah smiled.

"Then the party began with Peter as the program coordinator,
"We welcome everyone to this special occasion," Peter smiled.

"Thank you " Everyone answered.

"Someone should lead us in opening prayer and another should lead us in five minutes of praise and worship," Peter said. Joseph led the opening prayer while Chidinma led the praise and worship.

"Let's have our seat" Peter said after the praise and worship. He cracked some jokes to lighten the day and said some things about Sarah.

"I need just five people to say something about the celebrant. Just a line, no too much word to save our time," Peter said.

"Sarah is the best roommate anyone can have, " Tola said.

"Sarah is the strongest woman, I 've known," Sam said 

"Sarah doesn't run away from challenges, she faces them," Kenny smiled, she was recovering fast,
"Awwwn..." Everyone clapped.

"She loves to say the truth at all times, regardless of the person involved. In other words, she fears no one," Joseph said.

"Hmmm..." Peter nodded. "One more comment on the celebrant" 
"Normal normal, Sarah get craze for head, but she's selfless, hardworking and a woman of virtue" Omoh said and everyone laughed.

"Why the crazy aspect nah, it's her birthday" Peter smiled.

"I understand, No hard feelings," Sarah said laughing.

"Now the next thing is the celebrant will be cutting her cake at the spell of  JESUS or should we spell Sarah?" Peter asked.

"Jesus is better,"  Sarah smiled.

Sarah cut the cake at the spell of Jesus, and everyone clapped then they Sang a birthday song.
Suddenly the sitting room light went off and everywhere became dark. Then a searchlight pointed at someone on his kneels in front of her with a box in his hand, He opened the box and it revealed a ring.

"Oh!" Sarah gasped, Joseph switched on the light, and  Sarah saw everyone already capturing them.

"For the past five years, I've been lying to myself, but I'm tired of lying. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Miss Sarah Mohammed, will you marry me?"  Sam asked smiling. 

Sarah looked right, she saw Tola and Kenny smiling, she looked at the next person, She saw Winifred and Chichi 
"Say yes," they said 

Then she looked left and saw Joseph, omoh, Peter and Richard. They were all smiling, Sarah sighed. She had imagined Sam proposing marriage to her a million times, Now the moment she had always dreamt of was here, but she couldn't say a word, she was at a crossroad, she didn't know what to say. She covered her face as tears flowed down her face.

"Awwn..." She heard from her lodge mate.

Sarah wiped her tears then she looked at Sam.

"Sam, I love you, I love you so much. I've never loved any man the way I love you." She paused
"But I'm sorry, I can't marry you," she said and walked to her room. Everyone looked at one another confused. Sam stood up slowly and sat on the chair close to him holding his forehead, as his head suddenly ached, while Tola went into her room to join Sarah.

She remembered how she had seen the result of her betrayal and genuine tears had flowed ceaselessly.... Kachi had come up with the plan....
