EPISODE 7 (Not edited)

Tola was in the school garden during the long break, she had been led to go there,  she was enjoying the view when she heard a little girl crying, she started looking around trying to get where the sound was coming from when she saw a young girl of about eight years sitting in between the flowers crying.

"Hello" Tola called her 

"Good afternoon ma" The young girl greeted.

"Good afternoon dear" Tola answered "Come with me" Tola took her to where she was sitting.

"Have your seat"

"Thank you ma" The girl answered 

"What's your name?"  

"Abigail"

"Awwwn... Beautiful girl with a beautiful name" Tola smiled, and Abigail smiled back.

"Why were you crying?" Tola asked. Abigail looked down and went mute, Fehintola got confused, why is it that every child in this school doesn't talk" She thought.

"Talk to me dear, I will help you" Tola tried to cajole her.

"Really?!" Abigail asked.

"Yes"

"It's Senior Mary," She started

"Ok. What did she do?"

"She gave me #20 and told me to buy something worth #500 and bring back #200 balance" Abigail explained 

"What?" Tola exclaimed.

"Where's that Mary, she will get punished" 

"No ma, please don't punish her, I will be one to suffer it" Abigail pleaded. "You can't be around me all the time, they will come back for me"

"How old are you?" Tola asked, surprised that she reason so fast.

"Eight years"  Tola was right about her age.

"What class are you?"

"J.S.S. 1"

"I will talk to Senior Mary, I will beg her not to punish you," Tola said.

"Thank you ma" 

"Are you fine now?" Tola asked 

"Yes ma" Abigail answered 

"Oya, smile for me now" Tola smiled and Abigail smiled back. "That's my girl. You can go and play with your friends, I will send for Mary"

"Thank you ma." Abigail ran off happily.

Tola sent another student to call Mary. 

"Good afternoon Corper Tola" Mary greeted.

"Good afternoon dear" Tola answered "How has your day been?" Tola asked trying to make Mary free with her.

"Fine ma" Mary smiled

"I was told you gave a junior student #20 to buy something worth #500 and still requested for #200 balance," Tola asked, Mary looked down.

"So that idiot had the guts to report me to a teacher, I will make sure she gets punished for this" Mary swore under her breath.

"Is that true?" Tola asked in a low tone.

"Ma, that's not true, ehm, I mean, it's true, but..." Mary stuttered 

"Hmmm... Senior Mary, if she was your sister, would you treat her like that?" Mary looked down.

"Answer me now," She asked in a low tone

"No ma"

"You might be thinking, she reported you to me. Right?" Tola asked and Mary nodded.

"No, she didn't, I saw crying in between the flowers. She didn't even have money to buy even her food not to talk of yours." Tola said Mary looked down.

"Senior Mary" Tola called sarcastically, and Mary tilted her head sideways.

"Junior students are not prisoners, they are under you so you can protect them, when a junior student sees a senior they should run to them not run away, they should believe they are in safe hands not the other way round. Mary please, be nice to your junior, you don't have to take revenge on them" Tola pleaded 

"Hmmm..." Mary sighed, the last sentence touched Mary, she felt for her juniors. 

Mary was one of the toughest seniors in the school, she suffered a lot at the hands of her senior students, so she vowed to do the same to her juniors when she gets to the senior class.

"I'm sorry ma" Mary apologized 

"It's okay my dear, so you are promising me, that you will treat these children as your younger ones?" Tola asked 

"Yes ma" Mary nodded 

"Thank you" Tola smiled, 

"You're welcome ma" Mary nodded.

"But ma..." Mary said 

"You want to tell me something?" Tola asked. Mary nodded "Go on"

"80% of senior students are like this, it's not just me," Mary said.

"No problem dear, I will look into that" Tola smiled.

Then Tola opened her purse and gave Mary a #500 note.

"Go and get something to eat"

"Wow! Thank you very much, Corper Tola" Mary said happily.

"Can I get a hug?" Tola said spreading her arms and Mary went into it.

"Thank you very much ma," Mary said after disengaging from the hug and ran off.

Everyone was sitting in the guy's sitting room that evening except Joseph, Richard, and Juliet.

"Where's Joseph?" Kenny asked knowing full well that Joseph doesn't stay out at night.

"He's still at work?" Peter teased her 

"By this time?" Chidinma asked 

"Yes now" Peter answered, "What happened to the time?" Peter asked.

"It's past nine already" Chidinma answered. "Has anyone called him? Joseph doesn't keep late nights" She said.

"Better don't give yourself high blood pressure," Sarah said "So you no know say Peter dey whine you since," she said.

"How now? He's at work nah" Peter said looking serious while Sam was trying hard not to laugh.

"Is he doing night duty? Don't mind him, Joseph is not at work" Sarah answered.

"Can't he do night duty?" Peter asked, "So if he's not at work, where is he?" Peter asker.

"Sam, where's Joseph Jahre?" Sarah said facing Sam.

"Sarah, why is it that you have trust issues?" Omoh asked 

"God forbid I do night duty. How much are they paying?" Joseph said coming out of his room laughing.

"You see? I knew it" Sarah said.

"But Sarah has trust issues normally," Omoh said.

"You can't help it if you move with some people, people like Peter, you can't know when they are saying the truth and when they are telling a lie," Sarah answered 

"I already believed him" Chichi said laughing at herself.

"Well, it's not Sarah's fault. Sarah's are always having trust issues" Peter said and everyone laughed.

"Don't mind Peter. Names have nothing to do with a man's personality. We all have our character." Winifred disagreed.

"No Winifred, our names have a lot to do with our personality, who you are, who you will be can be affected by your name," Chidinma explained 

"Yeah," Joseph supported "Your progress in life can also be affected by your name. Why do you think some men of God had to change their names? You think if Jabez didn't pray his way out, his name wouldn't have affected him?"

"Hmmm..." Tola sighed.

"Names have something to do with you, your character even the way you look," Peter said and everyone laughed.

"The way you look?" Chichi asked 

"Yeah. Your appearance" He said 

"How sir," Winifred asked.

"If you people are observant, you will notice Pauls are always short," Peter said 

"My brother's name is Paul and he's very tall," Winifred said 

"He's just one of the few Pauls that escaped being short," He said 

"If you are observant, you will notice Elizabeths are always black, Deborahs are always stubborn," Peter said 

"My second name is Elizabeth," Chidinma said and everyone laughed because Chidinma was an extremely light-skinned lady, she was already close to becoming a white lady.

"And I'm sure the biblical Elizabeth was not black" Sarah said.

"You can't be so sure, the Bible didn't record that," Peter said. "But I'm sure of Sarah. They always have trust issues. Even the biblical Sarah had trust issues." Peter wouldn't give up.

"She was already 90, she had entered menopause, there was no testimony to learn from, anyone could have laughed at such" Sarah defended.

"But three angels walked into her home and told her she would have a son. That's enough evidence" Peter countered again.

"Peter see no dey disguise for us, we know your story too, nah your own worst pass," Sam said 

"How?" Peter asked 

"When Jesus told Peter to walk on water, Peter saw Jesus walking on water, he was going to meet Jesus when he started sinking, he still didn't have faith in Jesus after the number of Miracles he has seen Jesus perform. Number 2, After walking with a man like Jesus for a long time, Peter's mother-in-law fell sick, he couldn't lay hands on her until Jesus came. Number 3, Jesus already told Peter  he was going to deny him three times and Peter truly deny Jesus." Sam said and everyone clapped, screaming at the same time.

Thanks dear" Sarah said hugging him 

"You're welcome dear" He answered.

"So because of woman, because of Eve, you kon fall my hand like that? No problem" Peter said.

"He forgot bros code" Joseph laughed 

"No vex, but all the same, Adam was not complete without Eve" Sam laughed

"You know that part of the Bible where Peter denied Jesus still amazes me till date," Kenny said "Peter could have held Jesus leg to avert it or prayed or locked himself in the room till the cup passes him over," Kenny said.

"There was nothing he could have done, the scripture has been written and it has to be fulfilled," Tola said 

"Hmmm... Thank God grace spoke for him, unlike Judas" Joseph Said.

"It's okay, you people should leave Peter's name alone," Sam said 

"It's not okay, I'm enjoying the show," Joseph said.

"You wan make we reach your side abi?" Peter asked 

"You have no point against me. Joseph has a very good record. He saved his people from dying of famine" Joseph said with pride.

"But with all the love he claimed he had for Mary, he left when she was pregnant with Jesus," Sam said.

Joseph didn't see that coming, he didn't even remember the second Joseph. He laughed.

"Put yourself in Joseph's shoes, you didn't sleep with a woman and she came to tell you the Holy Spirit impregnated her, would you accept such pregnancy" Joseph answered 

"Even as a lady, if a friend had told me that, I will personally take her to the psychiatric hospital," Tola said.

"God bless you, sister," Joseph said 

"Amen!" Tola said seriously with her eyes close and her hands raised towards heaven, everyone laughed at Tola's drama.

Sam looked at Tola for a while "What's your Christian name" He asked.

"I'm not telling you," Tola said looking away.

"Hunhun?" Sam asked 

"Hun," Tola answered.

"She looks like Ruth," Peter said trying to trick her to talk.

Tola knew he was trying to get words from her but she won't talk.

"You started with me, you want to end with my roommate, that won't happen, we are going to our room," Sarah said standing up, Fehintola also stood up.

"Sorry now, play with us small, no vex" Sam pleaded, he was enjoying their company.

"We no vex, it's late already, we want to go and sleep, there's work tomorrow," Chichi said also standing up. Winifred and Kenny also stood up.

"Una no get joy, I swear," Peter said and the ladies ran out laughing, they knew Peter was about to start with them. On getting to the balcony of their apartment, they heard a loud moan from the sitting room. 

"What's going on?" Sarah asked no one in particular.

Chidinma opened the door and they all entered and saw Juliet lying down naked on the couch with Richard on her, naked as well, immediately Richard saw them, he climbed down from her and rushed to wear his clothes and ran out of the lady's apartment. 

Juliet stood up slowly, obviously angry.

"You girls should at least have courtesy, couldn't you knock?" Juliet said and they all exchanged glances with their mouth open.  Sarah wanted to answer her, but Tola held her. Juliet stood up and walked to her room.

"Shameless prostitute!" Chidinma shouted after her.
