EPISODE 15 (Not edited)

Fehintola and Alice entered a big  restaurant, then she called one of the waiters,

"Please can we get a place here where it will just be the two of us?" She asked.

"Just the two of us?" Alice asked looking scared.

"Yes, dear" Tola answered, "Hope no problem?" She asked.

"Nothing ma" Alice swallowed and looked down.

Tola faced the waiter. "Can we get a place, sir"

"Yes, but it's mostly for couples, and it's more expensive than when you stay in the main hall" The man explained.

"No problem, I'll pay" She answered.

"Come with me," the man took them to a garden, where people can talk and have fun, he led them to a table with two chairs.

"Thank you sir" Tola smiled at him.

"You're welcome ma'am," He smiled back. "What would you like to have?" He asked.

"Alice, what would you like to eat or drink?" Tola asked Alice.

"Nothing ma" She looked down.

"If I punch you, you will meet yourself in your hostel," Tola joked, Alice looked up and smiled shyly.

This was the first time, Tola was seeing her smile, and she felt joy from within.

"Oya talk, what do you want to eat?" Tola asked again.

"Anything is fine ma," Alice answered.

"You like rice?" Tola asked and Alice nodded.

"Jollof and fried?" Tola asked and Alice nodded again smiling.

"What of Salad?" Tola asked. Alice shook her head in the negative.

"I don't like the cream," 

"Ok." Tola faced the waiter. "We will like to have fried rice, jollof rice, and chicken with orange juice." 

The man came with the food. "Enjoy your meal"

"Thank you" The waiter left. 

"Eat your food," Tola told Alice.

"Thank you ma" Alice ate slowly.

They both ate in silence.

"Are you okay, or do you want more?" Fehintola asked after the meal.

"No, I'm fine ma," Alice smiled.

"I can get you snacks, Ice-cream, anything"

"No, thank you ma." 

"Ok dear, now let's talk. Tell me about yourself and I will tell you about myself too, I want to know you" Tola said.

"Hmmm..." Alice said and went mute.

"Alice, talk to me, How are your parents?" 

"They are late" 

"Oh! I'm sorry about that?" Tola felt for her.

"So where do you stay?".

"I stay with my Aunty" 

"Ok? What else do you think I should know about you?" 

"I think you should keep asking questions, I don't know how to start," Alice said, Tola was happy she was flowing well.

"Why are you always lost in class?" Tola asked.

Alice looked down and went mute.

"You don't want to talk about it?" Tola asked. Alice nodded.

"Ok. It's fine. Let me tell you about myself" Fehintola said. "I hope you're willing to hear my story"

"Yes Ma"  she looked up at her not smiling this time, Tola started her story all the same.

"My name is Fehintola Adewale, my mum died while giving birth to me, so I was raised by my father and my big Mummy."

"Oh!"  Alice felt for her.

"When I was 7, I was sexually abused by my father's driver."  She paused to see Alice's reaction. Alice sat upright and listened with rapt attention.

"Whenever he is taking me to school, he parks at one side of the road, had sex with me, and then takes me to school,  when coming back from school he does the same.  I couldn't tell my parent because he told me I was going to die if I tell anyone.  This continued like that for a long time it was painful, but I couldn't tell anyone, because I didn't want to die." Fehintola paused and looked at Alice who was already shedding tears.

"Dad suspected something was wrong when I suddenly became withdrawn at home, I didn't want to eat, and I started avoiding Mr. Jude, our driver, so he planted the camera in the car takes me to school, and that was how he found out I was being abused and that led to my Freedom" Fehintola concluded.

"You are very lucky," Alice said.

"Lucky? How?" Tola asked.

"You have a father that cares about you, I wish my parents are still alive too," she said with tears in her eyes.

"Calm down okay? Talk to me, I will help you, I promise," Tola assured her.

"After my parent's death, I and my sister moved in with my aunt"  She paused.

"I share a room with my sister, one day my uncle suddenly told me to start sleeping in the guest room, I was happy to have a room to myself so I moved to the guest room, only for my uncle to come in the middle of the night he told me he was going to do anything I want if I allow him to sleep with me" She paused.

"I cried, begged but my uncle wouldn't listen, he had sex with me, and told me never to tell anyone else he will kill me" She paused and then continued.

"I couldn't tell anyone but after sometimes I started feeling pains in between my legs and couldn't walk well my aunt noticed this and asked what happened to my legs, I said I didn't know that it was just paining me. She took me to the hospital and the doctor said there was an injury in my vagina and that someone has been sleeping with me. My aunt asked me who it was, I didn't want to talk, but after about 30 minutes of petting me and promising me she would not tell anyone, I told her it was her husband that had been sleeping with me. She was very angry and accused uncle when he came back from work" She paused and let her tears flow freely.

"Uncle denied it,  he said he was going to leave the house for us, he said a whole lot of things, he ranted on and on, he painted the whole thing in a way that everyone around believed I lied against him. My auntie started begging him and then called me a liar, she called me all sorts of names she called me an evil child, a witch.  she said I want to destroy her home the same way I killed my parents."

"Then she sent me and my sister to the boarding school so we could leave the house for her, I was very happy to be free from my uncle but I didn't know there was someone else waiting for me in the hostel,"  she paused, Fehintola wanted to hear that part of our story.

 "One night, Our hostel mistress, Miss Tope called me to her room and starting saying stuff like she liked me, she likes my breast, she said so many awful things and then started kissing me, she started touching my breast, and putting her finger inside me, I tried to stop her but she threatened to make life miserable for me in the school and I know what she's capable of doing, so I had to surrender myself" 

"Oh! God.  I'm sorry for all you went through dear" Fehintola moved closer patting her on the back.

"That's not all," Alice whispered.

"One day, Mr. Ryan asked me to date him, I told him I wasn't interested. A few weeks later, Miss Tope came to tell me someone wants to see me,  I followed her, it was Mr Ryan, it took me on that night and slept with me, and it has been like that for over two years now" She said.

"Wait! Which Mr Ryan?" Fehintola asked.

"Our Mathematics teacher." 

"What?! Oh! My God!" Fehintola saw the reason why the girl had no regard for Mr Ryan.

"Why didn't you report them?"

"No one will believe me, that's why I said you're lucky.  I wish I have someone to fight for me like you, Miss Tope always warns me to keep my mouth shut, she even said it this morning before you came,"

"Don't worry dear" Tola said pulling her close for a hug 

"We are going to get to the root of this matter, your uncle, Miss Tope, and Mr. Ryan will rot in jail, I promise you."

"Thank you ma, I'm happy I finally found someone who believes me" Alice smiled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to come here, I thought you want to bring me here to do what they've all been doing to me, I thought everyone wants to take advantage of me, is it my fault that I have this kind of body?" She said emotionally, Alice was a child with a big body, she has the body of an adult.

"It's not my dear, it's a gift from God, it's those people that are just wicked, I'm sorry about all you've been through,"  she said hugging her and patting her on the back. 

Tola's heart ached for what Alice has been through, too much pain for such a small girl.
