EPISODE 13 (Not edited)

Tola was in the kitchen cooking when she suddenly felt a burden in her heart, she didn't know what was happening, she started praying in tongues under her breath.

She finished cooking and went to her room and started groaning in tongues.

After praying for some time, she saw a quick vision of a young girl crying, she continued praying when the vision came the second time, it was Alice.

"Holy Spirit, What do I do? Please help her." She prayed.

"Alice was the main reason why I sent you to that school." She heard the familiar voice.

"But she's not opening up, how do I help her?" Fehintola asked.

"Remember you were once like her and your father didn't give up on you" The voice came again.

"Father, help me. I don't know how to go about it" 

"Tell her the story of how you were abused as a child, I made you go through that because of a day like this," The Holy Spirit told her.

"Oh! Thank you, Jesus!" Fehintola said with tears in her eyes.

"Alice needs help, don't give up on her"

"Thank you Jesus" Fehintola prayed late into the night.

Alex had just returned from work when he suddenly thought of his wife, he missed her and decided to call.

"Hello dear," He said smiling.

"Hi Honey" Chidinma replied from the other end.

"How are you?"

"You know I'm always fine now" She smiled

"Yeah. Thank God. How was your day?"

"It was fine and yours" 

"Fine, dear. Honey, I'm missing you here"  

"I'm missing you too dear"

"My babies and I have decided to come and visit you in Lagos" He dropped.

"Really?!" Chidinma tried to hide her fears. "What about their school? Let me come home instead" She said quickly.

"It won't affect their school, we will come on a Thursday and return on Sunday, they will miss school for just two days. I will tell their headmistress before then." 

"Ok. What about your work?"

"My work? Babe, I'm self-employed and you know it. "

"Oh! True. But...,"  Chidinma said thinking of what to stop him.

"But what Honey? What's going on? Is there something you are not telling me?" Alex asked

"No dear, why do you think so?" 

"Then why don't you want me to come over?" 

"No dear, try to understand, it's not that I don't want you to come, it's just the children, the stress, and everything?"

"Yeah. Don't worry about us, we will be fine, we will come by air" 

"Ok, dear." She gave up.

"Thanks for your love and concern Honey, I love you dear"

"I love you too dear."

Chidinma couldn't sleep that night, she was just rolling from one side of the bed to the other, trying not to disturb Kenny, her roommate, she suddenly started crying.

"Why not pray instead of crying" She heard in her spirit.

She started praying, but she hadn't prayed long when she started feeling sleepy, before long, she slept off.

It was on a Saturday morning, the make corpers had gone to play football, Tola, Chidinma, and Kenny were washing their clothes at the back of the lodge, they were talking about a new movie that just came out.

"That fair lady acted well, she made everything look real," Kenny said.

"Yes, that lady should get an award for that role." Chichi supported her

"The movie is nice, the location, the costume, and the video quality are wonderful. They did a nice job" Tola said. 

Suddenly they heard some noise from the kitchen and they all rushed inside.

It was Sarah and Juliet, they were fighting again. No one could separate them, because they were both holding a knife. They had turned the kitchen upside down with broken plates, spoons, and pots scattered everywhere.

"Nobody should come inside, you people should go back to your work, I will make sure I injure this girl today," Sarah said.

"You can't do anything" Juliet answered.

Sarah slapped Juliet and the knife in her hand fell, then she pounced on her and gave her the beating.

All the girls begged Sarah to stop but she didn't listen. 

Just then the guys came back from the field and heard a noise in the ladies' apartments. They all rushed in.

"What's going on here?" Joseph asked.

Everyone kept quiet, Then they saw blood in Juliet's hand.

"Are you two fighting again?" Omoh asked.

Sarah looked up and her eyes met Sam's,  Sam turned and walked out of the ladies' lodge quietly. Sarah ran to her room with tears in her eyes, she wished she had not fought Juliet.

Tola and Winifred tried to get first aid to treat Juliet's mouth and hand, she's been bleeding from those two. 

After they had arrested the bleeding with a cloth, Winifred and Joseph took Juliet to a chemist down the street. Tola went to meet Sarah angrily.

"Sarah!", Fehintola called angrily.

"Tola, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fight her, I didn't even know what took over me, I just saw myself beating her," she said with tears in her eyes.

"Sarah, you need to pray against the spirit of anger, you need to be broken, you are exhibiting the character of a Christian who has not yet been broken," Tola told her.

"Tola, I've prayed, I've fasted, I find myself doing it again." She cried 

Tola held her hand. 

"Don't worry dear, we will pray together," She said wiping her tears.

"But you will have to go to Juliet and tell her you are sorry."

"No o, I'm sorry, I can't do that." She said and looked away.

"That's the problem, even if God wants to help you, you have to present yourself as someone who needs help. If you don't surrender yourself, you can't be helped. God respects the will of men. If he sees you really need help, he will help you, but I can see you don't need help." She paused. 

"You see this fighting attitude of yours will take quality relationships away from you. No man wants to be married to a woman that fights all the time, Nobody wants to be her friend, see the way you injured that girl, there was blood all over her. And you claim you need help, you don't appear like someone who needs help. Even Sam walked out, he's obviously tired" Tola said.

Fresh tears rolled down Sarah's face, if anyone would be tired of her, it shouldn't be Sam.

"I'm sorry, I will apologize to her," Sarah said looking sorry.

"That's my girl," Tola said hugging her.

Sarah stood immediately and went out in search of Juliet while Tola followed. They met her in the sitting room, she had just returned from the Chemist.

"Juliet, I'm sorry" Sarah begged. Juliet stood up and went to her room.

"You've done your part, let's go and meet Sam." Tola and Sarah went to the male's apartment.

"Anthony Joshua, how far?" Peter said immediately after they entered"

"Peter, it's not funny," Tola said trying to stop him.

"Tola, it is funny, talk to your friend. Don't you people tell each other the truth?" Peter threw back.

"Ladies prefer to gossip about their friends than tell her the truth," Omoh said.

"Tola, talk to Sarah, everyone loves her but she needs to drop this habit. We all know Juliet is a pain in the neck, but she can avoid her" Peter said.

"Thank you, She's sorry, she will change," Tola said.

"She should change on time," Peter said and faced the book he was reading before they entered.

"Where is Sam?" Tola asked.

"He's in his room" Omoh answered.

"Ok. Thank you" They went to knock on Sam's door. He opened after the third knock.

"How may I help you?" He asked.

"Sam, I'm sorry," Sarah said.

"Ok." Sam answered "Is that all? I want to return to what I was doing before you came" 

"Sam, please let's go out and talk about it." Sarah pleaded.

"Ok." Sam came out of the room and shut the door behind him.

Sam and Sarah walked down to the stream while Sarah returned to the room.

"I'm listening"

"Sam, I'm sorry for fighting again, it will never repeat itself"

"Ok. Can I go back to my room now?"

"Is that all you will say?" Sarah said almost in tears 

"What do you want me to say?" Sam asked 

"At least say something"

"Sarah, I have nothing to say to you. Of what use are the ones I've been saying all this while?" He said with so much pain in his eyes.

"I'm sorry"

"So at this point, I've decided to keep quiet and watch do whatever you want to do"

"Ah! Sam please, don't give up on me, I'm sorry, please." She let out the tears that had welled up in her eyes.

"Sarah, I am sick and tired of your endless sorry, don't tell me you are sorry, I want you to change, do you remember you were almost rusticated from the University because of this if not endless prayers and God's intervention, you have fought with this girl twice, you are not the only one in this lodge." He paused and exhaled.

"Sarah, you are disgracing me, every of your action in that lodge affects me because everyone knows you are my friend and the boys tease me about it. Look at the Peter and Omoh were talking to you the other time, I was supposed to come out and defend you but intentionally stayed back. I was ashamed, but there was nothing I could do, you caused everything." He paused 

"Sarah, I want you to change, I'm tired of all this. If you refuse to change, I might have to renounce my friendship with you." Sam said feeling broken.

"I'm sorry, I will change this time. Please"

Sam could no longer stand her tears, he drew her close to himself and wiped her tears.

"It's okay dear, stop crying, just promise me you will change this time. I really want you to change, you know I want the best for you" Sam smiled.

"I will change, I promise" 

"Thank you," Sam said embracing her.
