EPISODE 34 (Not edited)

Sam was walking around, Joseph, Peter, Chichi, Tola, and Sarah were with him trying to calm him down.

Kenny had gone out on a date with Frank since 4 p.m. It's past 10 and she's not yet back, Sam has called her for the umpteenth time, but she's not picking and it's ringing.

Sam was scared, Kenny had never refused his calls, no matter how tight it was, she always found a way to pick up.

"God please, save my sister," Sam said with his hand on his forehead.

"She will soon be back, she's probably having fun with her man," Chichi said 

"She should at least pick up her call, I'm thinking this is intentional,"

"I don't think so," Chidinma defended again.

Just then they saw two people coming in the dark, they all waited, then they saw them embracing each other, then one person turned back while the other came forward it was Kenny.

"Thank you, Jesus," Sam muttered.

"Kenny, why are you doing this now?" Sam attacked immediately Kenny got to his front.

"I'm sorry, I was holding a traffic it was not moving at all," she answered.

"And why were you not picking up your calls?" he asked again.

"Calls? My phone didn't ring at all," She removed her phone and checked, she saw 38 missed calls, all from Sam, Chichi, Peter, Joseph, Sarah and Tola.  They've all tried her number.

"Oh! I'm sorry I didn't remember my phone was on silence, I silenced it this afternoon when I wanted to take a nap I didn't remember to remove it, I'm sorry," she pleaded.

Sam looked at her for some time without saying a word.

"I'll leave you two," Joseph  said

"Okay, thanks Jay,"  some answered

"I want to go and sleep too," Peter said following Joseph.

"We'd like to go in too,"  Chichi, Sarah and Tola announced.

"Thank you, everyone, I appreciate," Sam said.

"But Kenny you know I would have called you, and even if I didn't you know you were supposed to call me to know where you are," Sam said the moment they left.

"I'm sorry, I didn't have airtime," Kenny said.

"You couldn't load from your account? Why am I thinking this is an intentional act?"  Sam said.

"Sam now, but I said I'm sorry,"  Kenny said, she actually did it intentionally, she wanted to spend more time with Frank.

"How was your date?" He asked 

"It was fine," Kenny smiled, happy that he was no longer interrogating her.

"Are you feeling sleepy?" Sam asked

"No,"

"I want us to talk," He said,

"Okay,"

 Sam led her to a bench in the corridor.

"Tell me about Frank," 

"Hmmm... What do I even say? What do you want to know about him?"

"Everything, Don't tell me you don't know who you're going out with," Sam said.

"He's a banker, he's a Christian, what else?"

"What's his spiritual life like?"

"He's born again, he's not spiritual per se, I mean not like you, but he's okay, like he loves God," Kenny said.

"Rate him on a scale of 1 to 10,"

"Five,"

"An average Christian, hun...fair enough," he said "What's his purpose?" 

"I don't know that yet,"

"That's one of the first things you should know, or he's not purposeful," he asked, she didn't reply him.

"Have you prayed about him?"

"Yes,"

"And what did you hear?"

"Nothing. But I felt peace within  me,"

"Peace?!" Sam asked "Don't even give me that peace thing, When you are in love with someone you will surely be at peace when praying about them, you can't be disturbed,  you need to seek God and hear him concerning your union," He paused.

"My dear sister, you know I love you, after God it is you, please put emotions aside, seek God and hear him, it's important to hear God about your life partner so you won't make mistakes.

Love will fade, emotions will end, beauty will fade, all these butterflies in your belly will end, and the only thing that will remain is God's promises, it is that conviction that God is with you in that marriage that will keep you moving when a problem arises in future because life is not always a bed of rose,"

"Hmmm...," Kenny sighed with her head bowed "But I have prayed, I didn't hear anything," 

"Pray more,"

"You said you were going to help me pray, what did you hear?"

"You're the one involved not me, it's important you hear God yourself so you can be convinced,"

"I trust you, tell me whatever you hear," Kenny answered.

"Okay, what I heard is that Frank is on a mission, he's not going to marry you," Sam answered.

"I don't get you, what mission?"

"I don't know, that was what I heard while praying, but I know that whatever mission it is, it's not a good one," Sam answered.

Kenny stared at Sam for a long time without saying a word.
