Tola was tossing up and down on the bed, a lot has been going on in her head.

"N100 million naira is a whole lot of money, you can travel out for your education just as you have always wanted" A voice said.

"Your father can do that as well" A gentle voice countered.

"You can live a better life than you're living now, and you are also going to own your money and not depend on your father" 

"Your integrity matters, don't lose your integrity because of money" the gentle voice came again.

"God, help me" Tola prayed.

 Then she picked up her phone and called her Dad.

"Dad, I need to talk to you," She said, immediately he picked up the call.

"Good evening my baby" He greeted.

"Oh! I'm sorry, good evening Dad"

"What's the problem?"

"Dad, remember I told you my school proprietress invited me this afternoon"

"Yes, you did. What did she say?"

"She said I should drop the charges against her son and she offered me a hundred million naira" Tola said.

"Wow! That's a huge amount of money," Adewale answered.

"Yeah! I'm confused, Dad,"

"What do you want to do? I mean why are you confused" he asked

"I didn't accept her offer but Dad she has strong connections and she's very rich too, I'm confused" She answered.

"So what do you think? You want to accept her offer?" 

"Not really Dad, just that, this woman is highly connected, do you think we can win this case?"

"Hmmm..." Adewale sighed.

 "Omofehintiola"

"Yes Dad" Tola answered with a calm voice, her father only calls her full name when he wants to praise or chastise her.

"I didn't raise you this way" He started.
"Remember I told you the day you wanted to leave for Lagos, that this is the time to show that you true Christian, be different, don't let them buy you with money"

"No Dad, I'm not trying to..." She tried to talk, but her father interrupted.

"Keep quiet and let me talk!" He shouted at her "I am not a kid, your response to my question shows that you want to accept the money," 

"I do not care if your proprietress is rich, connected or whatever attributes you use to characterise her, have you forgotten who you are connected to? You are connected to the throne, you have a divine connection and it is more powerful than any connection in this world. Have you forgotten? just because of money Fehintola!" He paused suddenly and became calm.

 "You seem to have forgotten your root, you've forgotten where you're coming from. You've been swayed away from the truth, I am disappointed in you" He paused again.

"You want the love of money to take the love of Christ away from you? Why did the Holy Spirit reveal it to you? Do you think God will send you on an errand and leave you to do it alone? What will you tell Alice? Have you lost your conscience?"

"Dad, I'm sorry." Tola cried. 

"Tola, I'm disappointed in you, I didn't expect this from you, I did not raise you this way."

"I'm sorry."

"Now go on your knees and ask God for the forgiveness of sin, then tell God to take control and see you through that case, you're not going to take that evil money"
Adewale said and hung up.

 Tola was sober, she doesn't like seeing her father's other side. She went to her knees and cried.

"Lord, I'm sorry," She asked for forgiveness and then committed the case into God's hands. 

 After praying she picked up her phone and called her father back

"Have you finished praying?"

"Yes Dad, I'm sorry"

"It's okay, my baby, I'm sorry for hanging up on you"

 Kenny was chatting with Frank on WhatsApp

"You know you're beautiful right?" Frank typed.

"You have said that for about 500 times now" Kenny replied.

"That's not true, I've only said it 499 times," He said.

"Your sense of humour is low," She replied.

"Come on. You are I know that's not true." He said "Kenny!" He called.

"Yes" 

"Can I be the man in your life"

"How? We've only met once"

"But that one time has not left my memory, I see you all the time, I dream about you, I fantasise about you. I want to wake up with you beside me every morning." Frank typed.

"Your beauty is second to none, even when I'm angry and your striking beauty appears before me, it will just soften my heart" Frank typed and Kenny blushed.

"So what happens when this beauty fades?" She asked.

"This kind of beauty does not fade, it's going to be there for life, and even if it fades, I won't stop loving you.

"Hmmm..." Kenny typed.

"Can we hang out? Maybe on Saturday?" He asked.

"Hunhun? I will think about it." She answered.

"Alright dear, I love you" 

"Okay, thank you"

Isaac, Rachael and Aduke, Tola's grandparents were all seated.  Dave, Tola's fiancee was also around. He had completed his Masters and had returned to Nigeria two days before the party. Alice sat beside Tola, she was having a great time. Nike also came around to celebrate with Adewale, other families and friends had all come and they all sat at different tables.
