Jude continued abusing Fehintola for weeks, and then one night, Adewale had a revelation.

He saw Fehintola sitting by the roadside crying, 

"Baby, why are you crying?" He squatted beside her, she pretended as if she didn't hear him.

"Baby, I'm talking to you, what are you doing here? Let's go home" He said holding up by the hand.

"Leave me alone!" Fehintola shouted, snatching her hand from him. "I'm not going with you."

"Why? it's me your dad"

"I'm not going with a father who doesn't care about me."

"How? You know I love you, and I care about you"

"If you truly care about me, then do the right thing," she said and started walking away.

"Fehintola! Wait, where are you going to?" He said following her.

"Fehintola! Fehintola! Fehintola!" He kept following her, then he woke up.

"What kind of dream is this?" Adewale thought.

"This is more than just driving Fehintola to school, there is more to this whole thing," Adewale said.

Just then, he remembered Nike's words,

"Trust no one!"

"Paedophiles are everywhere!"

"What does Jude do to Tola on her way to school? Could Jude be sleeping with my daughter? No! It can't be true" He refused to believe that. He couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. 

The next day he went in search of a camera and planted it in Fehintola's car after he had sent all his workers on one errand or the other. 

He goes to the car every night after everyone has gone to bed to check the camera, nothing happened on the first and second night  

"I said it, Jude cannot hurt my daughter," he said convinced.

He decided to check one more time, and on the third night, he saw the unbelievable.

"What?! Jude!" He shouted so loud that Madam Pat, who was praying rushed to the sitting room, she saw him clenching his fist at no one.

"Adewale, what's wrong? What's the problem?" she asked concerned.

"Oh! I'm sorry mama, I didn't know I shouted so loud," he apologized.

"It's fine, what's wrong? Why did you..."  she had not completed her sentences when she saw the camera in Adewale's hand, and she covered her mouth to prevent herself from screaming.

"Oh! My God!" Madam Pat said touched, "To think I have been scolding the little girl for failing in class, so this is what she's been going through,"  Madam Pat cried.

Adewale went to Tola's room, she wasn't sleeping, she had been woken up by her father's noise, he moved to her and pulled her in a hug.

"Baby, I'm sorry." He said with pain in his heart. "But why didn't you tell me," He asked 

"That what?" Tola asked confused.

"That Jude had been sleeping with you," He asked and Tola gasped.

"How did you know?" she asked and burst into tears.

"Why are you crying?" Adewale asked.

"He said I will die if anyone knows about it," She said with fear in her face.

"What?! Oh my God! He only lied to you so you won't tell anyone" He hugged her again.

"I'm sorry dear, please forgive me" He was very angry, he couldn't wait for morning to come, so he can throw Jude in Prison. His heart bled at the thought of what his daughter had been through.

The next morning, he took Fehintola to the hospital and got Jude arrested, after which he was charged to court and sentenced to fourteen years imprisonment.

Adewale requested for one month's leave from work and personally drove his daughter to school and made sure he always listen to her, and with the help of Nike, the former Fehintola came back.

Adewale invited Nike for lunch at his house after the whole incident had died down.

"Hi, Aunty Nike" Tola greeted

"Hi, Tola" Nike smiled

"Thanks for the other day ma," Tola said

"You are welcome, but why didn't you tell your dad about it?" Nike asked

"He said I would die if anyone hears it, I didn't know it was a lie" Tola answered.

"It's a lie from the pit of hell, in fact now that the secret is out, you will live longer than you expect, but not telling anyone would have made you die earlier because depression kills faster than anything" Nike said.

"Yes" Adewale supported, "Depression kills faster than a bullet" 

"That's not true Dad," Tola laughed and Nike joined in laughter.

When Adewale and Nike we're alone, 

"You also contributed to the girl's problem," Nike said.

"Yeah, I know, I should have listened to her, when she said she wants me to start driving her to school," He said, he had not stopped beating himself over what happened to his daughter, if only he had been more vigilant.

"Not that, if you had given her sex education, she would have known that no one dies by letting out such a secret" Nike said 

"Sex education? She's just eight" Adewale said.

"You should start giving a child sex education as early as 2 years old," Nike said.

"Really?" Adewale said amazed.

"Yes"

"But what does a two-year-old child know," Adewale asked confused.

"It's stage by stage, at two, you teach her her body part, by calling them by their names, you tell her what a vagina and a penis is and you tell her to report to you when anyone tries to touch her there." Nike paused.

"There are different things to teach her at each stage. Sex education isn’t a one-time discussion, it’s a conversation that continues and evolves as she grows into a teenager and already knows all she needs to know.

You can't be with her all the time, so the best thing is to give her sex education.

Children that are given sex education do not fall victim to paedophiles because they already know what to do." she said.

"Wow!" Adewale said.

"You can start now, it's not too late, I will send you a book titled: 'TELL YOUR KIDS ABOUT SEX' (How to give your child sex education) by Tomisin E. Adebisi.

In this book, you will learn 'The right age to start teaching your child sex education', 'How to give your child sex education', 'How to start a sex conversation with your child', and 'How to answer certain questions' "

"That's better, I will appreciate it, thanks for all you do," Adewale said feeling grateful.

"You're welcome, Mr Adewale." Nike smiled.

Back to the present...

Tola cried as she travelled back to her past, she had just arrived at the lodge. She wiped her tears so other Corpers won't see her crying.

"Mr. Anim, Ryan and Tope will rot in jail, I promise" she swore as she to stepped into the ladies' apartment."
