That night, Fehintola stood at the corridor of the apartment having a view of the environment, just then it dropped on her mind “Be swift to hear, but slow to respond”
She was surprised “but what has that gotten to do with what I’m doing now? Holy Spirit please make this clear” She said in her mind.
Just then, Juliet came and stood near her.
“Hi Tola, you are welcome once again”
“Thanks Juliet” She smiled.
“I hope you are getting used to this place?”
“Sure, it’s fun being around you guys, thanks for the hospitality”
“You are welcome, we are one happy family here” She said walking back to see if someone is coming.
“You have to be careful with some people here” Juliet started
"Oh" She said, now understanding what the Holy Spirit is saying.
“Yes, especially Sarah that your roommate, that lady is deadly, she can kil when she’s angry, she’s an Hausa girl, and you know what those people are capable of doing”
“Hun” Fehintola sighed.
“You might be wondering how I knew, she went the same school with Sam, so he said it that she’s deadly and Chidinma, she’s married but she’s dating one of these guys, she will be going to their place till late in the evening, I’m waiting for the day her husband will come and visit her and find out that she’s been cheating” She hissed.
Fehintola was just watching
“Kenny on her own is a pretender, she will be forming good girl but she’s bad, even her brother that is forming pastor, is a playboy”
Fehintola was already getting bored, she’s not used to this kind of story.
“I want to ask you a question” Juliet asked
“I’m listening”
“Which of those guys did your eyes catch yesterday?”
“I don’t get you” Fehintola said.
“Come on, you understand” Juliet maintained her smile.
“None” Fehintola said not smiling “My eyes are closing, I want to go and sleep” Fehintola said standing up.
“Okay, goodnight dear, we will continue tomorrow”
Fehintola went inside and saw Sarah working on her laptop.
“You are back, how’s the environment?” Sarah asked
“It was cool….Its beautiful ” Fehintola complimented when she saw what Sarah was doing.
“Thanks dear” Sarah smiled looking up for the first time
“Just be careful” Sarah said after a long time
“I don’t get you” Tola said facing her
“A word is enough for the wise, Good night” She said closing her laptop and laid down to sleep.
“Could she had heard what Juliet said? Is she truly deadly?” She thought as she couldn’t sleep, She prayed in tongues under her breath, trying not to disturb her roommate till midnight when she eventually slept off.
The next day was Sunday, Fehintola had just gotten back from the fellowship, when her father’s call came in, she had thought of calling him too.
“Daddy” She said happily.
“My baby” Her dad responded.
“Daddy, how are you doing?”
“I’m fine and you?”
“I’m good, how’s Big Mummy?”
“She’s fine too”
“Anything for your baby?”
“Nothing oo, oya gist daddy”
“Gist? Come online, let’s talk on whatsapp”
“Hun, my baby has a lot to tell me”
“Daddy now”
“Oya sorry, let’s meet on whatsapp” He said laughing
They ended the call, and she explained everything that happened the previous day to her dad.
“Be mindful of that Juliet, she’s going to put you into trouble, if you are not careful” her dad told her.
“Okay, thank you sir”
“That’s my baby”
“Tell me about your roommate”
“Hun, she's fun, but she's always lost when alone, that's the little I noticed about her yesterday.”
“She’s going through something, try to find out, maybe you can help her, you never can tell, you are there for a reason” Adewale said.
“You think so?" Tola asked surprised.
"Yes, trying to find out my dear."
"Ok. I will"
"I love you baby" He said and dropped a love emoji.
"Love you too dad" She smiled.
