THE CHAT ROOM… PART 10

I was with Frank in the library when Tayo called. He called to apologize that he was sorry that he needed to see me. I should have ended the call but his voice melted my heart and won me over. We later made arrangements for him to come see me at school.

"Who was that?" Frank asked as soon as I was done.

"My husband to be. He wants to come visiting." I pressed my lips into a smile.

"Oh!" That was all he said and he continued teaching me.

Later when he dripped me over, that night, he told me: "Be careful. Don't allow him use you because you look naive I'm sorry to say."

A frown found its way to my face. "What's the meaning of that? How dare you insult me?" I got down from his car, hissed, ignored all his pleas, and slammed his door shut.

I ignored his call even on the following day when I went to see Tayo at one of his friend's house opposite the school campus. I wore jeans trousers because I had already made up my mind not to give him sex again.

But when he noticed Frank's incessant calls, disrupting g our conversation, he got angry and we had a hot quarrel which always left me apologizing in the end.

"I'm sorry Tayo. Forgive me." I went on my knees.

He yelled at me with tears rolling down his cheeks. "If I didn't love you, would I have come down to look for you in your school? Look at all the provisions I bought for you. You now want to dump me because you are sleeping with a lecturer now?" He cried.

I cried too and held his hands as I stood up. "How can I prove to you that I have not been sleeping with the lecturer?"

"Then, lie with me." He said.

It wasn't my intention to sleep with him again, in his friend's house but I did and this time, we used a condom. And since he said that condoms prevented pregnancies, I relaxed and forgot all that Bose advised me against.

No conscience pricked me. I felt happier and continued to ignore Frank while my relationship with Tayo blossomed until the 4th month when my roommates began to notice some changes in my stomach region.
