" ONCE UPON A TIME"

Harry looked down at the young girl who was sleeping.

" Why is the unfortunate girl suddenly the interest of two wealthy people. Is there something in her I am not seeing?" Harry said looking closely at her.

" I am keeping her." Harry said out of the blues

For the first time, Rogers and Kemisola had a common feeling. The feeling of surprise. They both looked at each other briefly before looking back at Harry.

" I know she has some bad luck to her. My mistake was not trying to help her before placing her in different homes. I will take her to Cotonou. I have a very good Witch doctor who can wash away the bad luck from her head. After that, I should be able to place her in a better place." Harry said to the surprise of the other two

" Cotonou?" Rogers asked in surprise

" You are kidding right? In this 21st Century, you believe in the lie of washing of heads." Kemi said in disbelief rolling her eyes in exasperation.

" Oh, you don't believe in bad luck, what do you call losing two husbands? Good Luck?" Harry said in anger with a loud voice. A voice he had been controlling.

" How dare you!" Kemi said charging towards him with the intention of biting him till she had cut some flesh off his skin.

Rachel's eye twitched in between her sleep in response to the loud voice...

" I think we need to take this out."Rogers said in concern pulling Kemi back from completing her angry movement towards Harry.

Neither Harry nor Kemi moved.

" It's seems the dynamics is changing now, the battle is now between you and her. This shows you I am not the one with the problem, and Mrs Kemi, I am not saying you are the problem, but the truth is there is a problem...." Rogers said

" Which is?" Kemi said

" How we will stop her suicidal tendency..We have three offers at the moment, the problem is each one of us acknowledging and accepting the best without sentiment"

" Can you speak English?" Kemi said as Rogers didn't make sense

" Rachel has three offers..."

" One?" Kemi asked

" Going home with you as a maid.... a maid who will be WELL taken care of!"

" Two?" Harry asked

" To follow you to Cotonou where her bad luck will be washed off, but yet returns to work as a maid..."

Harry and Kemi maintained silence...

" And three, get adopted by me, Attend a good school and have a better life!" Rogers said

Followed was silence again...

" Without Sentiment, which one do you think will get her out of her suicidal tendency?" Rogers asked softly....

Rachel herself was confused as to which was the best offer for her as she laid there pretending to be asleep....

" Which one should I go for?" Rachel thought as she heard the silence in the room so loud like the silence in a banking hall at Midnight.
